BCA Trained Aircon Installation

1. Filing BCA Form AC-02 to HDB, ensuring safety and comply with BAC, HDB and EMA Regulation for the installation.
   
2. Installing a SS304 Bracket with Rubber padding, preventing the bracket rusty and cause the aircon drop and anti white noise.
   
3. Laying 4 Core Wire for 15 meters from indoor unit to outdoor unit. Live, Neutral, Earth, Communication.
   
4. Laying Copper pipe for 15 meters of TUV/PSB Singapore Certified.
   
5. Laying 15 meters of 16mm PVC Drainage pipe.
6. Laying 15 meters of trunking to enclose all the copper and drainage pipe and 4 core wire.
   
7. Applying insulation gum for copper and darinage pipes to prevent condensation water and extend lifespan.
   
8. Installing a Daikin System 3 Aircon.

   

   

   

9. Vacuuming 20 munites to optimizing efficiency with quality assurance to eliminate unwanted air and moisture from the refrigerant system.
   

EMA Licensed Electrical Work

1. Filling Form CS/5H to HDB for Electrical Work Submission.
2. Installing a 20A MCB for the Daikin System 3 Aircon aircon electric supply.
   
3. Installing 15 meters of 2.5mm2 Wires for the Daikin System 3 Aircon electric supply.
4. Installing a 20A Isolator for the Daikin System 3 Aircon electric supply and maintenance.

• Regular maintenance of your air-conditioner will help prolong its lifespan and keep it running efficiently. It is also important to check the brackets holding up the air-conditioner condenser as any loose bolts or improper installation can result in accidents.

• Have your air-conditioner serviced regularly by a licenced service provider. Ask the service provider whether your condenser unit requires a replacement of brackets due to rust and corrosion.
• In addition, clean the air-filters of your air-conditioners to maintain optimal airflow.

Trained Installer for Installation of Air-conditioning Unit

• A trained air-conditioning unit installer is an individual certified by the Building and Construction Authority to carry out air-conditioning unit installation works.
• As per Regulation 41B (2) of the Building Control Regulations 2003, only a trained air-conditioning unit installer can install any air-conditioning unit on the exterior of any building or which projects outwards from any building.

Installation requirements and duties of the trained air-conditioning unit installer

As per Regulation 41C of the Building Control Regulations 2003, the trained air-conditioning unit installer must:

• Install a structural support system that complies with specifications listed under Part I, II, III or IV of the Seventh Schedule of the Building Control Regulations 2003. Exceptions may be allowed with prior written approval from the Commissioner of Building Control (BCA) or if he has complied with specifications approved by HDB (for HDB flats only).
• Submit a report of the installation works no later than 14 days after completion to the Commissioner of Building Control (BCA). Use Form AC-01 for private properties and Form AC-02 for HDB flats.

Failure to do so may result in a penalty of up to $5,000 or jail term of up to six months or to both.
